Raising Cane’s and Latsch’s Stuff the Bus With School Supplies
Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers recently partnered with KLKN’s Channel 8 and Latsch’s for its 9th annual school supplies drive. From July 17 through August 6, individuals received a free 22oz freshly squeezed lemonade when school supplies were donated. In addition to donating new and packaged school supplies, customers were able to provide support by adding any dollar amount to their ticket while ordering.
Through these efforts, enough school supplies were donated to provide more than 2,100 students with the tools they need to start the school year off right, and over $8,600 in donations were collected and given to Lincoln public and private schools.
“The generosity of the community is truly humbling. Education gives children the opportunity to reach their full potential in life, and it is because of you that we are able to help students this school year,” says Jennifer Jones, co-owner of the franchise. “No matter what you were able to donate—thank you.”
Since 2006, the Lincoln and Grand Island franchise – Southern Hospitality Ventures – has given back over $1.4 million to the communities in which their restaurants are located.
