Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers presented a check to the Food Bank of Lincoln and to the American Cancer Society this summer for special fundraising efforts benefiting each organization.
Raising Cane’s was able to present a check for $1556.62 from fundraising efforts done for the American Cancer Society during the 2013 Relay for Life event at Haymarket Park. In addition to donating delicious chicken fingers, freshly squeezed lemonade and crew support during the walk, Cane’s also donated all proceeds made from the “at will” donations made by those who received their meal at the event. Raising Cane’s also presented a check for $400 to the Food Bank of Lincoln in conjunction with the Lincoln Saltdogs Fan Feast event in July. During this event, Cane’s donated 100 free box combo cards that were sold at a discounted rate and in turn all proceeds were donated to the Food Bank.
Raising Cane’s has one love — chicken fingers — and focuses its menu offering on fresh, made-to-order chicken fingers paired with their homemade Cane’s sauce, grilled Texas Toast brushed with garlic butter, creamy Cole slaw and crinkle-cut French fries. The Lincoln Franchise was opened in 2006 by Justin & Jennifer Jones, who moved to Nebraska from Baton Rouge, LA. Since opening their location, they have set out to make a change in their community by becoming active community leaders.
