Remember Give to Lincoln Day on May 26th

Give To Lincoln Day (www.givetolincoln.com) returns for a 5th year on Thursday, May 26th!

Those in the Lincoln community are encouraged to make a charitable donation to local non-profits they care about during this 24-hour day of giving.  The Lincoln Community Foundation and their sponsors will contribute a match fund of $300,000, with every nonprofit organization receiving a proportional share of this fund based upon their percentage of the total dollars raised.  The match fund increases every donation made on Give To Lincoln Day, making every gift even more meaningful.

Last year, Give To Lincoln Day raised $3.2 million. Give To Lincoln Day aims to encourage philanthropy and meeting the community’s growing needs.  It also increases public awareness of local non-profit organizations, helping to tell their stories and attract new donors.

Donations to participating non-profits may be made online beginning at midnight on May 26 and ending at 11:59 p.m.  Starting on May 1, there is also an online feature that allows you to schedule your donations in advance, to be counted for Give To Lincoln Day and the match fund. The minimum donation is $10.  The Lincoln Community Foundation will also receive donations from people who prefer to make their gifts in person at the Foundation office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on May 26.
