Roper & Sons Announces June Events
This month’s Topic Breakfast, being held at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, June 21, features Linda Stephen and Keith Fickenscher, Nebraska State Stroke Association.
Do you know the signs of a stroke? When to call 911? What kinds of aftercare are available for stroke survivors? Linda Stephen, executive director of the nonprofit Nebraska State Stroke Association, will share stroke signs, symptoms and prevention tips. As a stroke survivor, Keith Fickenscher will share ideas on therapies and support for after a stroke — and exciting new medical research for stroke survivors! Be sure to attend this informational, insightful breakfast. To reserve your seat for Topic Breakfast, please call (402) 476-1225 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Additionally, the Grief Program meets weekly on Sundays from 2 – 3:30 p.m. in the Reception Facility. These are open to the public, regardless of whether services were facilitated by Roper & Sons.
1st and 3rd Sundays: Guided Group with Facilitator Melissa Thorne, designed for those whose loss took place more than 18 months ago.
2nd and 4th Sundays: Structured Group with Facilitator Tiffany Eisenbraun, designed for those whose loss is more recent than 18 months, who may be addressing some more pressing first-time needs.
Roper & Sons is in the process of developing a grief program for those who have lost a loved one to substance abuse. Please contact Jodi at (402) 476-1225 for details on this program.
