September 2020 Marks 19 Years in Business for 1776 Grounds Maintenance of Lincoln

September 2020 marks 19 years in business for 1776 Grounds Maintenance (1776gm.com), which started in Des Moines, Iowa in 2001 and moved to Lincoln in 2008 to provide lawn care, landscape maintenance, and snow-removal services. Family-owned and operated, 1776 continues to grow and master new processes to improve the grounds-care industry.

Roger and Angie Berte own and operate the business, and they are veterans of the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army National Guard in Nebraska, respectively. Angie is Roger’s wife and joined the company in December 2019 as the office manager/company representative. She assists with office management, hiring, maintaining strong business relationships, landscape maintenance, and plowing snow. Nick Berte, Roger’s son, also works for the company, helping with numerous aspects of services they provide to customers and assisting with equipment maintenance and repairs.
