Shepherd’s Rest Partners with 4 Generations Barn for Winter Goat Yoga Sessions

Shepherd’s Rest Goat and Sheep Rescue has recently partnered with 4 Generations Barn, a rustic event venue just up the road from the Shepherd’s Rest farm north of Pickrell, in order to offer goat yoga sessions into the winter months. These hour-long classes are typically held twice a month starting at 10 a.m. All ages are welcome, and classes are $15 per person to support the rescue organization in their efforts to provide hay for food and pay medical bills for the goats and sheep.

Goat yoga has many wonderful benefits including a deeper sense of connection to nature and one’s self, developing compassion for all living beings, and reducing stress. Participants enjoy this unique healing experience. For those who are unable to attend a goat yoga session with Shepherd’s Rest, they also offer a “Cubicle Cuddles” program through which they bring one or a few goats to businesses to add a little life to the office.

Shepherd’s Rest Goat and Sheep Rescue exists to rescue, rehabilitate, adopt, and provide sanctuary for goats and sheep in need. They also educate the public about goats and train goats and humans as therapy teams.
