Southeast Community College Introduces Fiscal Dad Coaching to Focus Suites

The Entrepreneurship Center of Southeast Community College (SCC, www.southeast.edu) is excited to welcome a new, virtual business to the Focus Suites: Fiscal Dad Coaching.

Fiscal Dad Coaching was created by Philip Andrew, an at-home father of three, with a background in teaching and entrepreneurship. His mission is to help families living paycheck-to-paycheck, which amounts to nearly 80% of all Americans. Philip wants to change the narrative surrounding money from negative to positive because of his own struggles in recent years. The pandemic brought major challenges to Philip and his family, including ending his career as a teacher and naturalist.

“I realized that I missed teaching about a subject that I loved,” he said. “I started to think of other subjects that I enjoyed and found that personal finance would be a subject I would enjoy sharing with people.”

This is one of many businesses in SCC’s Focus Suites, which is a place for entrepreneurs to start their business with low-rent office spaces and business coaching, among other things.

Southeast Community College is committed to providing accessible, dynamic, and responsive education in more than 50 programs to a diverse variety of students.
