SP Group Organizes Intern Basketball Challenge for Some Tax Season Fun

It’s tax season at SP Group, P.C. (www.spgrouppc.com), which means extended hours spent with fellow team members. Recently, the team took a short break from a Friday afternoon of tax return work for some fun competition. Every year, the tax season interns test their basketball skills in an eight-person bracket—the SP Group version of March Madness.

This year, the field consisted of six interns and two intern mentors. The competitors were cheered on by the entire firm as they played, head-to-head, at the pop-a-shot basketball arcade-style game. A few friendly wagers might have been thrown down as they battled to the championship round. The final pairing was Clayton Peterson (Mentor) vs. Livia Wilhelm (Intern) in a hotly contested showdown. The winner was…Clayton Peterson! As it is every year, this contest was a terrific opportunity to mix some light-hearted fun in with the serious business of helping their clients with their tax service needs.
