SP Group, P.C. Goes Mobile with New Flexible Work Space Initiative

SP Group, P.C. (www.spgrouppc.com) recently launched a new initiative known as “SP Goes Mobile.” Dave Swan, managing partner, introduced the idea of a flexible work environment by encouraging the SP Group team to freely conduct work by moving around the office at their leisure. Basically, employees can sit where they want and work where they want, even at another team member’s desk. In addition, several prototype standing desks were unveiled in “The Bullpen” area and in private offices. The team was then asked to test each standing desk model for a couple of hours with feedback regarding their experience throughout the process.

As a growing entreprenurial accounting firm, SP Group, P.C. strives to be on the cutting edge of their field. Studies have shown that a flexible work environment increases employee satisfaction and productivity, qualities needed especially during a busy tax season. The goal was to standardize SP work space and offer a different work environment to meet the needs of all team members. This initiative runs through the end of the year where results will be incorporated just in time for the upcoming tax season.
