SP Group, P.C. (www.spgrouppc.com) team members participated in the University of Nebraska N-Club Golf Scramble on April 29. The SP Group team included four Husker athletes: Darin Petersen, baseball; Brad Devall, football; Austin Zimmerman, golf; and Clayton Petersen, golf. Each team was required to have at least one letterwinner per team, but the SP Group team had four!
The event took place at Wilderness Ridge Country Club. Before starting the scramble, members of the Husker Athletic Fund addressed the teams, and then each group was led out to their starting hole. The Head Coach of Women’s Golf, Jeanne Sutherland, contributed a bonus “fifth putt” on the 18th green.
The four SP Group team members credit their past experience in Husker athletics as instrumental in the development of life skills such as teamwork, competitiveness, communication, and time management. These attributes are evident now in their professional life as accountants. The Power of Team is a core value of SP Group with the mindset of “we work as a team and we win as a team.”
