Sweet Things by Marcy (STBM)(sweetthingsbymarcy.com), the Southern-inspired bakery and catering company owned by Navy veteran and entrepreneur, Marcy Haas, is pleased to announce the return of its popular Cake & Wine Pairing event at James Arthur Vineyard on Friday, April 4.
The curated experience will feature signature Southern cakes thoughtfully paired with James Arthur Vineyard wines, offering an elevated yet approachable tasting highlighting the harmony between classic desserts and local Nebraska wines.
Sweet Things by Marcy has launched its Cake of the Month program, spotlighting traditional Southern cakes and the stories behind them. Recent selections include the January Hummingbird Cake, the February Red Velvet and now the March Signature Kentucky Butter Cake. Butter cakes have long defined Southern baking. Kentucky Butter Cake, finished with a warm butter glaze poured over the cake, reflects the South’s belief that simplicity—done well—is luxury. Rich, tender, and unapologetically comforting, the cake embodies STBM’s commitment to honoring Southern food traditions with exceptional flavor.
Sweet Things by Marcy, located in downtown Lincoln, is open Wednesday–Friday, 11 a.m.–3 p.m., offering soups, sandwiches, paninis, desserts, and delivery through DoorDash and Grubhub.
