Two Local Families Receive the Gift of Transportation

Two families served through Community Action Partnership of Lancaster and Saunders counties drove out of Tracy’s Collision Center (www.tracysbodyshop.com) as the new owners of vehicles just in time for the holidays. These two gifts of transportation were made possible through the Recycled Rides Program, a unique nationwide community service project through which members of the National Auto Body Council – insurers, collision repairers, paint suppliers, parts vendors and others – collaborate to repair and donate vehicles to deserving individuals and service organizations.

The most recent vehicles were donated courtesy of Tracy’s Collision Center and State Farm Insurance (www.statefarm.com), which is a partner in the program, in December of 2015. Recycled Rides works with local auto body repair shops to refurbish vehicles that have been written off by their owners or by the insurance company.  More information about the program can be found at www.nationalautobodycouncil.org/programs/recycled-rides.
