Visiting Angels Celebrates Two Years of Serving Lincoln

Visiting Angels (visitingangels.com/lincoln), one of the nation’s leading providers of living assistance services for older adults, is celebrating two years of service here in Lincoln. The location is owned and operated by Natalie Leon who provides non-medical home care to help the elderly continue to live in their homes.

Natalie has been in healthcare for over 14 years. She obtained her CNA License while she was a Junior in high school in North Platte and continued her education at Nebraska Wesleyan University where she earned her undergraduate degree in business administration. Natalie also holds a Master of Health Care Administration degree from Clarkson College. She discovered Visiting Angels while exploring opportunities to open her own business. Her research showed that a rapidly aging population, coupled with the rising costs of nursing home care and depleted retirement funds, has created an urgent need for in-home care for older adults. Natalie is also a professor at UNL, teaching Introduction to Gerontology. Natalie’s love for the elderly and her drive to educate her students, clients, and the public about the importance of senior care has been crucial in the success of Visiting Angels.

Some of the services provided by Visiting Angels include: assistance bathing, dressing, and walking; meal preparation/diet monitoring; light housekeeping; errands and shopping; medication reminders; joyful companionship; and respite care for family caregivers. The choice of temporary or long-term care is available mornings, mid-day, and evenings, along with weekends and holidays.
