Women in Sales & Business to Host Monthly Luncheon on November 14

The Women in Sales & Business (WISB; www.wisblincoln.org) monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 14 at Venue Restaurant & Lounge in the NE/Lancaster Room at 4111 Pioneer Woods Dr.

The speaker will be Dr. Stacie Ray, a faculty member at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Ray also serves on the board of the Nebraska Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and works as the Chair of the Nebraska Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Committee.

Ray’s work is focused on increasing accessibility to hearing healthcare for low-income individuals. Her commitment to providing children with accessibility to amplification led her to establish HearU Nebraska in 2008 and HearU International in 2015. Dr. Ray will talk about her experience raising a deaf son, and how that experience inspired her to establish HearU Nebraska which provides children across Nebraska with “the gift of hearing”. Dr. Ray is also committed to providing her students with a rich learning environment that fosters cultural understanding and provides opportunities for students to impact communities.

The meeting starts with lunch at 11:30 a.m. with meeting following from 11:55 a.m. until 1 p.m. Cost is $18 which includes lunch (cost is $10 if only attend the meeting).
