Leading the program is their Coffee Master, Julian Mendoza, whose passion for coffee began at an early age. Growing up, Julian’s mother owned and operated a coffee shop, where he was immersed in coffee culture from childhood. That early experience inspired a lifelong dedication to mastering the craft. One of his favorite stories is being told by a Starbucks manager that he had made the perfect cappuccino when he was just six years old. His passion eventually led him to compete in Starbucks’ Barista Championships in 2018, showcasing the skill and dedication he has spent years refining.
Before joining Capital, Julian managed multiple coffee shops, building extensive experience in specialty coffee and hospitality. Since coming to Capital, he has spent countless hours developing the coffee menu, perfecting recipes and training their team to deliver exceptional coffee with the same precision and care that define the cocktail program.
