Community Action Partnership of Lancaster and Saunders Counties (www.communityactionatwork.org) is thanking the community for its enthusiastic response to its holiday toy drive and fundraisers. In partnership with 104.1 The Blaze, Community Action held the annual Kamp Out for Kids event in December, which raised thousands of dollars and dozens of toys. Community Action thanks The Blaze, Jet Splash, Stop N Shop, and Spikes Beach Bar and Grille for their support during this event each year.

Every December, Community Action collects toys to distribute to its participants, and this year saw an outpouring of support. Thanks to donations from businesses, schools, churches, and other groups and individuals, Community Action was able to give out hundreds of toys to families this holiday season. Community Action sends its gratitude to all who contributed to make this special opportunity possible.

Community Action’s mission is to empower people living in poverty to reach economic stability. Its programs and services address the causes and conditions of poverty in four impact areas: early childhood education, homelessness prevention, financial and family well-being, and hunger relief and healthy food access.
