DSAF to Hold High Intensity Functional Training Classes April 2 – May 7

Down Syndrome Association for Families of Nebraska (DSAF, dsafnebraska.org) is excited to promote their High Intensity Functional Training (HIFT) classes that are being held April 2 – May 7. The HIFT program is offered to DSAF’s young adults and adult members with Down syndrome who want to branch out and enjoy a safe, adaptable, and effective program that incorporates equipment used by athletes who practice CrossFit. Lyndsie Koon, PhD, is certified in adaptive training and has partnered with CrossFit Lincoln to bring this exciting new opportunity to DSAF’s members to build strength and confidence of participants.

The sessions will be held for six Saturdays: April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, and May 7. Classes are $10 each. The last session of the month, April 30, will be free. Sessions will be held at CrossFit Lincoln, 720 Van Dorn St., from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. There will be enough coaches to accommodate up to 10 athletes for each session, so visit dsafnebraska.org/event-4727710 to register now to reserve your spot!
