Fresh Start (freshstarthome.org) is excited to announce that tickets are now on sale for our annual fundraising event, Project Funway: The 16th and Final Walk, on Friday, October 30 at The Lincoln Cornhusker Marriott. This year’s theme is Design | Transform | Overcome.
Project Funway offers something for everyone:
- Design a Runway Outfit – Thrift or upcycle finds and redesign them to fit the theme of personal transformation, then showcase them on the runway – all ages welcome! Enter at freshstarthome.org/events/be-a-designer.
- Fill Our Silent Auction – Items, tickets, baskets, goods, services, or unique experiences are all welcome. Donate at freshstarthome.org/events/silent-auction-donations.
- Buy Your Ticket(s) – Come one, come all! For more FUN: grab seven of your most FUN friends and get a VIP table – this is the perfect venue to wear those feathers, glitter, and sequins hiding in your wardrobe!
Project Funway is a competitive fashion show that benefits Fresh Start, featuring outfits created by UNL TMFD designers and open to community designers. The exciting silent auction, wine pull, Daisy Shop pop-up boutique, and voting for your favorite designs all support the women of Fresh Start. Light appetizer buffet, cash bar available.
Fresh Start provides a safe home and programs for women ages 19+ who are experiencing homelessness. They are a transitional shelter in Lincoln celebrating our 35th year. They are the only National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR)-certified organization in Nebraska.
