HoriSun Hospice (www.horisunhospice.com) is pleased to announce the addition of Becky Herdt, LPN as visiting hospice nurse, and Rebecca Parks, RN as nurse case manager to its team.
Herdt received her LPN from Southeast Community College and joins HoriSun with over 20 years of work experience in assisted living and skilled nursing communities. Additionally, she has worked as a nurse in family practice. Becky believes in the philosophy of hospice and appreciates the interdisciplinary team approach, in which each patient has the support of the full hospice team to receive maximum comfort and care.
Parks received her RN from Southeast Community College in 2020 and her Bachelor of Theology degree from the Institut Biblique Européen in Paris, France in 1995. Prior to joining the HoriSun team, Parks worked in adult psychiatry at Bryan West. In 2022, she became board certified as a psychiatric mental health nurse. Parks completed her nursing degree after returning to the United States from India, where she had lived for nine years with her husband and children. Parks enjoys working in hospice as she likes getting to know each patient, while supporting their loved ones as well.
HoriSun Hospice believes that hospice care affirms life. Their mission and promise to the community is simple – to provide the best care possible, 24 hours a day, seven days a week for all whose lives are affected by a life limiting illness or condition. Comfort, compassion and caring are our guiding principles. Visit www.horisunhospice.com for more information.
