Last month, Hudl invited the mentees of their staff who volunteer as TeamMates (LincolnTeamMates.org) mentors to attend the Lincoln Saltdogs game at Haymarket Park. Hudl sponsored the evening as part of their annual Hudl Week, and invited Emilio, a fifth grader at Saratoga Elementary, to throw the first pitch.

“Emilio and our family had a blast,” said his mom. He hurled a perfect pitch alongside his TeamMates mentor Zach Lee as his family cheered him on from the stands.

Lee recently became the TeamMates liaison at Hudl, where he serves as a support manager. He was matched with Emilio last fall, and the pair enjoys talking about life and their mutual love of sports.

“As part of our Community Champions Employee Resource Group, TeamMates has given Hudlies a genuinely engaging form of mentorship with students in our area schools. ‘We Listen’ is one of our core company values, and mentoring gives us a chance to grow ourselves personally and professionally,” said Lee. “As we grow at Hudl, we want to continue our commitment to TeamMates, bringing more of our awesome employees to become mentors who can help create perfect matches.”

TeamMates Mentoring of Lincoln makes a meaningful impact in the local community and beyond by inspiring youth to reach their full potential through mentoring. For more information, please visit LincolnTeamMates.org or call (402) 436-1990.
