LIBA to Partner with The Career Academy to Host Career Fair for LIBA and TCA Students

The Lincoln Independent Business Association (LIBA, liba.org) and The Career Academy (TCA, athome.lps.org/tca) have partnered up for an exclusive opportunity for LIBA members. The two will jointly host a career fair for LIBA members and TCA students on Friday, March 11 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 8800 O St.

The career fair will provide the opportunity for local businesses to showcase themselves to 800 students from Lincoln and surrounding areas to hire for summer positions, internships, and promote their industry to prospective students. TCA is for high school juniors and seniors and currently has 566 students enrolled, with 700 students projected for the 2022–23 school year. They provide 18 college and career oriented pathways, including skilled trades, IT, human service occupations, business, health science, and Ag-bio. TCA also provides business partner opportunities for students, including field trips, guest speakers, job opportunities, and philanthropic giving. TCA has a goal to strengthen the connection of their students with the business community. The partnership with LIBA and the career fair will provide the opportunity for businesses and students to interact and learn more about each other and future career opportunities. More information about TCA can be found athome.lps.org/tca, or email Director Josh Jones at jjones7@lps.org.
