Beth Friesen Publishes Book on Loving Someone with Dementia

Beth Friesen (www.bethfriesenrn.com), owner of Oasis Senior Advisors in Lincoln, has released her new book: I Love Someone with Dementia…So Why am I Losing My Mind? If you love someone with dementia, then you may find yourself wishing you had a map to better navigate this diagnosis. This book is designed to give an aerial view of this disease and how to navigate it without losing your mind in the process—where to go, who to see, what decisions need to be made, along with discussion questions to help you through this journey.

Beth pulls from her own experience of having a mother with Alzheimer’s. Shortly before her death, she challenged Beth to “take good care of your people,” so the book is meant to inform people on what she and her family wished they had known, what they learned, and the resources that truly helped them along the way.

“This book is an excellent and practical guide to help you navigate this tough challenge from the beginning to the end.” said Suzy Nootz, MSN, RN, CDP, country house residence for memory care.

The book is available on Amazon, and a free e-book version is available at Beth’s website, www.bethfriesenrn.com. Make sure to stay tuned for upcoming book signing events as well!
