Thermography is a quick, painless, radiation-free imaging using infrared technology (developed by the military and NASA) to look for abnormal heat patterns in the body. It is the only method for visualizing pain and pathology and is useful as an adjunctive procedure to other diagnostic tools. With digital technology and specialized software, the temperature data collected becomes a thermal image on the computer screen called a thermogram. The heat-based images are interpreted only by MD’s board-certified in Thermology. Popular for breast health screening, RHI specializes in full body scans.
