The Coalition for Older Adult Health Promotion (COAHP) recently hosted its annual awards meeting and breakfast on October 16th. Featured speaker JoAnne Owens-Nauslar kicked off the event with her presentation, Move to Improve. This was followed by the announcement of the 2015 award recipients. Those honored include:
2015 Scholarship Award Winners: Shelby Diers and Carmen Ochoa
2015 Volunteer of the Year: Emma Buda
2015 Junior Volunteer of the Year: Rylie Schneberger
2015 Professional of the Year: Kathy Nannen
Nominees for the 2015 Professional of the Year award included Jeanine Bryant and Michelle Eastman.
The purpose of the Lincoln Coalition for Older Adult Health Promotion is to facilitate opportunities to promote communication and coordination among providers by sharing information and identifying services and needs which impact older adults in southeast Nebraska. The Coalition organizes informational and social gatherings for its members on a monthly basis. Upcoming events will be held on November 19th at 4 p.m. at Gateway Vista and on December 18th at 7:30 a.m. at The Legacy Estates.
