Compensation Programs, Inc. (ComPro), a health insurance brokerage firm located in Lincoln, recently participated in the Health Insurance Marketplace Open Forum on October 10th. The forum, which was open to the public, provided information about the Affordable Care Act. The office of Senator Kate Bolz sponsored the forum.

On Oct. 1, the federal government implemented the Affordable Care Act. The Health Insurance Marketplace Open Forum is intended to provide information and to answer questions about how the implementation will affect Nebraskans. Information will be available for individuals, families, business owners and senior citizens. ComPro Vice President Chris McPike presented an overview of the Affordable Care Act and its impact on Nebraskans. ComPro President, Brian McPike, also offered assistance to help business owners understand their options in providing benefits for their employees. ComPro was one of five businesses volunteering to speak at this event.
