Lincoln Lymphedema Clinic Now Accepting Medicare Part B
Lincoln Lymphedema & Occupational Therapy, LLC (The Lymphedema Clinic; www.llotnebraska.com) has received notification that it now is officially a Medicare Part B provider. That’s in addition to accepting insurance from various other companies, including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska, Cigna, Humana, Nebraska Total Care, and Wellcare.
Recently established by occupational therapist and certified lymphedema therapist Adam Rawson as the first stand-alone lymphedema clinic in Nebraska, The Lymphedema Clinic continues to operate by-appointment only during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, with some restrictions. Adam asks that people who are exhibiting signs or symptoms of cough, sore throat, fever, headache, or loss of smell or taste please stay home and seek medical attention from a doctor, if necessary. As this is a clinic that cannot provide services without being within six feet of a patient, all providers, patients, and support staff are required to wear masks. The Lymphedema Clinic has a screening process upon a patient’s arrival for an appointment, which includes asking the patient to attest to a series of questions regarding any recent symptoms of COVID-19 or exposure to anyone exhibiting them, in addition to recording body temperature. The clinic thoroughly cleans all chairs, treatment mats, and tables between patients.
