LMEP’s Melissa Rappl Earns Healthcare Privacy Compliance Certificate

Melissa Rappl of the Lincoln Medical Education Partnership (LMEP) (www.LMEP.com) has successfully completed the Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) examination, thus earning the CHPC designation.

Healthcare Privacy Compliance is a relatively new industry, born out of the government’s crackdown on Medicare fraud. A sub-specialization in healthcare privacy is an even newer area. Privacy compliance professionals are tasked with assuring that healthcare providers follow federal, state, and local regulations that govern maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of sensitive healthcare information.

Melissa Rappl is the IT and compliance director at the Lincoln Medical Education Partnership. LMEP works in close collaboration and is funded in part by Bryan Health, CHI Health St. Elizabeth, The University of Nebraska Medical Center, Lincoln Public Schools, United Way, and many other funders and donors in the region.
