Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital will showcase its award-winning Adaptive Sports and Recreation Program during the 2014 Adaptive Sports and Recreation Fair. This community-wide signature event will be held on Saturday, August 2nd from 1-4 p.m. at its main campus at 5401 South Street in Lincoln.
Open to the public, this fair is free and offers a unique opportunity for attendees of all ages and abilities to interact and participate alongside athletes during demonstrations of numerous sports, adapted for all to enjoy. Sports are adapted for anyone in a wheelchair to try. Attendees with other disabilities are greatly encouraged to participate. Able-bodied individuals are invited to visit Madonna during this event to experience firsthand how a sport is played using adaptive equipment.
