Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital Recognizes Former Patients

Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital (www.madonna.org) honored five former patients with the Mettle of Honor Award recognizing each individual’s inspiring story of recovery.

The award is presented every year to former patients who were nominated by Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital staff for their ability to exemplify the word mettle, which means “possessing an especially high quality of character, spirit, courage, or ardor.”

Each person received their award at a ceremony held at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln on April 22nd.

2016 recipients are Mark Brightbill of Salina, KS; Sidney Doane of Downs, KS; Nathaniel Farley of North Platte, NE; Jerry Trumble of Bellevue, NE; and Jerry Wiemers of Laurel, NE.

The ceremony featured remarks from Madonna’s President and CEO Paul Dongilli and members of the team who nominated each honoree. Each recipient’s story will be on display on the walls of Madonna, joining the stories of others who inspire other patients and staff.
