Tabitha Announces COVID-19 Vaccine Requirements

After much discernment and guided by its strong purpose, nonprofit Tabitha (Tabitha.org) will begin requiring COVID-19 vaccinations for TEAMembers, volunteers, students, vendors, and contractors who work at Tabitha locations or on behalf of Tabitha. Early on, Tabitha began administering doses for both senior residents and TEAMembers at the end of December 2020. To date, 85% of their TEAMembers have chosen to protect themselves and others by voluntarily getting fully vaccinated. Beginning immediately, all unvaccinated Tabitha TEAMembers (regardless of their role or work location) will be expected to complete COVID vaccination as a condition of employment and be fully vaccinated no later than October 29, 2021.

Tabitha is not only well-versed in getting vaccines but giving them, too. Coordinating major vaccine efforts with the Lincoln/Lancaster County Health Department to deliver over 430 vaccines to-date to homebound clients. In addition, Tabitha partnered with Community Pharmacy, earlier in the year to vaccinate nearly 600 valued volunteers, including those who deliver Tabitha Meals on Wheels and serve as a lifeline to seniors who wish to remain independent at home.

Tabitha empowers people to live joyfully and age gratefully.
