Union College 3rd Year Physician Assistant Students recently visited the Waterford at Williamsburg during February to complete a History and Physical assignment before beginning to do their rotations. Thirty Waterford residents volunteered for the project. Students interviewed residents regarding their medical history prior to review their medical records. Resident Helen S. stated “it was the most thorough exam I’ve ever had. They were so patient and took time to really listen. It was a great experience.” Administrator Pam Carlson was pleased with the connection between the students and the residents, as this was a great way for residents to feel that they are still making a contribution by helping future generations.
