Wellbeing Initiative Announces Opening of The Orchard

Wellbeing Initiative (wellbeinginitiatives.org), a local non-profit organization whose mission is to connect survivors of mental health challenges to a community that empowers recovery, recently hosted a ribbon cutting and open house on October 29th for The Orchard, located at 300 S. 13th Street in Lincoln. The open house was held in celebration of the grand opening of The Orchard on November 2. The Orchard provides a place where people with lived experiences of mental health challenges and recovery can connect with each other in a spirit of safety and support.  At The Orchard, one can stop by and enjoy a cup of coffee and socialize in a low-stress, low-demand environment.  The Orchard is a place where peers encourage one another in housing, education, and work.  Most importantly, a visit to The Orchard will provide an opportunity to be a part of a safe, supportive community of people in recovery.
