Lila Mae’s Southern Kitchen (www.LilaMaesSouthernKitchen.com) is excited to announce that they will be participating in this year’s WingFest, which showcases Lincoln’s best chicken wings all in one tasty event. WingFest, presented by Security First Bank, will take place on Saturday, August 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Haymarket Park. Two awards are up for grabs—the Judges’ Choice chosen by WingFest’s “wingsperts” and the People’s Choice award chosen by you! As this is Lila Mae’s first year in business, and therefore their first time taking part in WingFest, Owners Tramesha Cruse and Travis Russell are eager for participation and support from the community.
WingFest is put on by United Way Emerging Leaders United. All proceeds from the event will go to support Creative Learning Spaces in Lincoln and Lancaster County. Get your family and friends together for an evening of amazing wings, live music, and competition for the title of Lincoln’s Best Wing. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at wingfestlincoln.com or at the door. In addition to entry, each ticket comes with 10 delicious wings from local restaurants, the chance to vote for your favorite wing, and live music and entertainment.
