On Saturday, October 15th, 2011 the Lincoln Animal Ambassadors (LAA) will host the second annual “Meow and Chow”.  LAA collaborates with The Cat House (Lincoln’s only no-kill cat rescue) to raise money for each group’s mission.  This fundraiser is fun!   The evening begins with an all-you-can-eat buffet of soups, breads, desserts, and non-alcoholic drinks.   All food is donated by local businesses who support the efforts of these two animal rescue groups.  New this year is a local comedian to entertain while participants enjoy their dinner.  Following dinner, several games of BINGO will be played with prizes for the winners.   In addition to the BINGO prizes, participants have the opportunity to purchase tickets for wonderful raffle items.   This event will be held that evening at the Scottish Rite Temple in downtown Lincoln.

Last year’s “Meow and Chow” was a huge success and the room was packed full with animal-supporters who had a great time.

Please check the Lincoln Animal Ambassadors’ website as the date approaches for more details, at www.lincolnanimalambassadors.org.   In addition, the Lincoln Animal Ambassadors are always looking for volunteers to help them with their fund raising events and programs as well as monetary donations to support their pet food bank and low-cost spay neuter program.
