The Lincoln Independent Business Association (LIBA) presented Executive Director Dave Haring of the Lincoln Airport Authority (LAA, lincolnairport.com) with the Community Impact Award presented by Governor Jim Pillen and Exchange Bank President Robert Panzer. The Free Enterprise Celebration at Pinnacle Bank Arena was attended by more than 500 business owners, community leaders and elected officials. This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication to the LNK Airport team and the support of the Lincoln community.

“LIBA is proud to recognize Lincoln Airport with the 2023 Community Impact Award,” said LIBA President Bud Synhorst. “The airport is expanding capacity and bringing in new flight opportunities to help both business and leisure travelers to have access to destinations around the country. We are proud partners with LNK!”

As airlines were cancelling flights to and from Lincoln during the pandemic, the Lincoln Airport was inspired to renovate and modernize the airport by increasing the number of not just flight opportunities, but job opportunities as well. This is being done with the addition of Burrell Aviation bringing air cargo to the airport, Timpte Inc. manufacturing trailer plant in Enterprise Park and the recent addition of seven new flights; Dallas, Austin, Nashville, Minneapolis, Orlando and Las Vegas with Red Way.

The Lincoln Airport, owned and operated by the Lincoln Airport Authority, is a calm, hassle-free travel spot for the people of Nebraska. For more information about flights and services, visit lincolnairport.com or call (402) 458-2480.
