Manuel de la Torre Named May’s Lincoln’s Young Professional of the Month

The Lincoln Young Professionals Group (YPG) is pleased to announce that Manuel de la Torre has been named Young Professional of the Month for May.

In YPG, de la Torre has long been involved with the Marketing Committee creating graphics, helping organize events, and taking pictures. He has represented the Marketing Committee at YPG fundraisers and has volunteered for many YPG philanthropic events.

De la Torre runs a web and graphics business, Manuel de la Torre Media Creations, but is currently transitioning toward a music career. That includes greater involvement in Nissa’s String Studio, a Lincoln business owned by his wife, Nissa de la Torre. Eventually, de la Torre hopes to commit full time to music.

The Lincoln Young Professionals Group (YPG) was founded in 2007 to empower young professionals in Lincoln to create an energetic and dynamic environment for learning, networking, and entrepreneurship. YPG’s vision is to increase the attractiveness of Lincoln, by encouraging young professionals to take ownership in its future by engaging in the community professionally, personally, and philanthropically.
