Matt Talbot Announces Addition of Two New Employees, Two Promotions

Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach (mtko.org) is pleased to introduce two new staff members and announce the promotion of two long-time employees.

Matt Talbot welcomed Amber Dean as director of housing and outreach programs and Mary Rittenburg, LADC, M.Ed. as alcohol and drug counselor in December. Amber has worked with individuals and families experiencing homelessness for the past nine years as a case manager and program coordinator. Mary has a background in education and has worked as a case manager or counselor in the area of substance use for the past five years.

Glenn Schawang, a key member of Matt Talbot’s outreach team for nearly 10 years, has been promoted to outreach program coordinator and will oversee general outreach, street outreach, homeless diversion, data management, and other areas including safety protocols. Vicky Drozd, who has been part of Matt Talbot’s development team for the past twelve years, has been promoted to operations director.

“We are fortunate at Matt Talbot to have a staff team that brings so much experience and compassion to their unique roles,” said Susanne Blue, executive director. “We are excited to have new staff on board and grateful for the long tenure of many on our team. The future is bright!”
