Families from across Nebraska are invited to join MilkWorks (milkworks.org) on August 8 for a day of family fun, community connection, and celebration as the nonprofit community breastfeeding center marks its 25th anniversary of serving Nebraska families.

Hosted at Carol Joy Holling Camp, the MilkWorks 25th Anniversary Celebration will feature activities for all ages, including canoeing, ropes courses, bounce houses, face painting, lawn games, raffle bags, food, snacks, and more. The event is designed to bring together former and current MilkWorks families, community supporters, healthcare partners, and anyone looking for a fun summer day with their family. Family tickets are available for $25 on the MilkWorks website: milkworks.org

For 25 years, MilkWorks has been helping families navigate feeding and early parenting journeys with expert lactation support, education, breast pumps, support groups, and compassionate care. Since opening its doors in 2001, MilkWorks has become a trusted resource for generations of families throughout Nebraska, supporting approximately 25% of birthing families across the state.

“Reaching 25 years is an incredible milestone. It represents thousands of families who trusted us during one of the most important and vulnerable times in their lives. This celebration is our opportunity to thank the community that has supported MilkWorks and invite families to celebrate the impact we’ve made together.” says Dr. Kathy Leeper, current board member and MilkWorks co-founder.
