Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM, nonprofitam.org) is pleased to announce that the Nonprofit Summit of the Midlands conference on Thursday, November 10 will feature a keynote presentation by Sean Thomas-Breitfeld and Frances Kunreuther of the Building Movement Project. They will share their updated report, Trading Glass Ceilings for Glass Cliffs, which focuses on the experiences and challenges of nonprofit leaders of color who have attained the top positions in their organizations.
The 16th annual Nonprofit Summit of the Midlands will take place at Embassy Suites in La Vista and will connect approximately 300 nonprofit executives, employees, board members, and volunteers from Nebraska and Iowa. This year, the conference theme is Moments to Movements. The past two years have proven that nonprofits know how to respond quickly to the issues of the moment and do what needs to be done to help the people and communities they serve survive and thrive. This conference will explore how nonprofit leaders can take these moments of individual and collective energy and momentum and turn them into long-lasting movements. While this year’s Summit is returning to an in-person format, a hybrid option will also be available for virtual attendees.
