National Association of Women in Construction Posts Upcoming Event Schedule
The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC, www.nawicomaha.com) Greater Omaha Chapter #116 is announcing its remaining 2022 meeting dates/times and activities. NAWIC holds its monthly meeting on the second Thursday of each month. Guests are always welcome.
• May 12 – Introduction to BIM and its role in construction
• June 9 – Jobsite tour of Applied Underwriters site
• July 14 – Community engagement event
• August 11 – Nebraska Innovation Studio makerspace tour in Lincoln
• September – How to incorporate wellness into your home/work office space
• October – Jobsite tour (TBD)
• November – Personal development event
• December – Potluck lunch and gift-wrapping members’ donations for charity
In addition, the NAWIC/CFMA (Construction Financial Management Association) scholarship fundraising golf tournament has been slated for August 23 at Indian Creek Golf Club. More information and registration will be posted on the chapter’s website at www.nawicomaha.com.
National Association of Women in Construction Greater Omaha Chapter #116 hosts a variety of events that serve the community, provides scholarships to men and women pursuing careers in the construction industry via a college education or trade-apprenticeship program, hosts educational Lunch-and-Learns for members, and more. NAWIC Chapter #116 was first chartered in 1966 and has 70+ members working in businesses whose primary focus is construction.
