The Nebraska Housing Developers Association (NHDA, housingdevelopers.org) held their annual meeting and fundraiser at Top Golf Omaha in September.
This was the most successful fundraiser in their history, raising over $25,000 to go towards championing affordable housing in Nebraska. The events major sponsors were American National Bank, Midwest Housing Development Fund, J-Development, National Equity Fund, Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka, and Union Bank & Trust.
At the event, the association also elected new board members and officers. The new board members are Seanna Collins of North Platte Housing Authority, Autumn Dillon of U.S. Bank, and Amanda Palmerton of Southeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership. Tina Engelbart of Northeast Nebraska Development District was named chairperson, Quelbin Izaguirre was named vice chairperson, Scott Jensen of First National Bank Omaha was named secretary, and Matthew Cavanaugh of Holy Name Housing Corporation was named Treasurer.
Established in 1996, the Nebraska Housing Developers Association has a membership base of more than 70 organizations working to strengthen the state’s economic vitality by making safe, affordable housing available to all Nebraskans.
