The 11th Annual Give to Lincoln Day (www.givetolincoln.com) on May 26 raised more than $8 million for local nonprofits. There were a total of $27,506 donations, resulting in $8,010,304.85 of funds raised. A record total of more than 475 local charities registered for this year’s event. All gifts given for the event are matched by the Lincoln Community Foundation challenge match fund of $500,000. This match fund is made possible by generous sponsors including presenting sponsor West Gate Bank.
Give to Lincoln Day is an online event encouraging donations to support the local nonprofits and causes people care about. When the community comes together for this day of giving, amazing displays of generosity arise that help local nonprofits provide needed services and improve the great city of Lincoln.
