12th Annual StarBQ – Sunday, October 11: 5 – 11 p.m.
Get ready for an evening of music, fun and spectacular views of the universe at the 12th Annual StarBQ! This year’s celebration promises something for everyone, including live music from The Last Minute Band, exciting raffl es featuring a variety of high-quality prizes, including a digital telescope and family friendly activities!
Visitors can meet and hold “Mike the Meteorite,” a genuine piece of space rock that traveled millions of miles before arriving on Earth.
As darkness falls, the astronomers will guide you on an incredible journey across the night sky through the collection of world-class telescopes. Discover distant galaxies, star clusters, planets and
celestial wonders as they celebrate another year of bringing the universe closer to the community. Admission is $10 per adult and $5 for children ages 5–12. Children under 5 are FREE!
BOO at the BOO – Saturday, October 31: 7 – 10 p.m.
Looking for a fun and affordable way to celebrate Halloween with the entire family? Join the for BOO at the BOO! The observatory will transform into a Halloween destination filled with plenty of candy, festive activities and a few “scary” displays. Best of all, admission is $10 per family, regardless of family size! Weather permitting, guests can also enjoy the night sky through telescopes, adding cosmic wonder to their Halloween adventure.
