On June 21, the summer solstice, people across the country will come together for The Longest Day, a fundraising event by the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org). It is the day with the most daylight, symbolizing the strength and endurance of those living with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers.

To take part, choose any activity you enjoy and turn it into a fundraiser. You can walk, bake, bike, garden, dance or host a game night. However you choose to spend your day, you will be helping raise funds and awareness to support Alzheimer’s care, support programs and research.

The Alzheimer’s Association will help you every step of the way, from turning your passion into a fundraiser to promoting your event and reaching your goals. You will not do it alone.

The Longest Day is a chance to make a difference while doing something you love with friends, family or coworkers. Visit alz.org/thelongestday to sign up, create your fundraising page and start planning.

Together, we can bring light to the darkness of Alzheimer’s.
