American Cancer Society (cancer.org), the nation’s nonprofit leader in the fight against cancer, is inviting the community to join the celebration at the 2022 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Lincoln event on Sunday, October 16, at 11 a.m. at Holmes Lake Park. The Making Strides movement raises lifesaving funds that support breast cancer patients, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers through every step of the journey.

Making Strides has always been more than just a walk, it’s a movement. American Cancer Society is the only organization that integrates advocacy, discovery, and patient support to measurably improve the lives of cancer patients and their families.

Whether you’re on a team, leading a team, or participating solo, bring your friends and family along! This year’s event will feature food trucks The Chocolate Season, The Waffle Man, Soulful Cocina, Motor Foods, Sky Mart, and Sweet Treats. Enjoy games from Nebraska Knockerball, get decked out on in pink and take team photos and selfies in the big pink chair, and visit sponsor tents while the kids enjoy free games and activities.
