American Cancer Society’s Big Dig Omaha Event Set for September 12

Join the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) at their Big Dig Omaha event on Sunday, September 12, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. This family-friendly event, held at the new H&H dealership site at Hwy 379 and 150th St., will make your Tonka Truck dreams come true! This event is for big and little kids and all funds raised will help support their Hope Lodge Nebraska, located right in Omaha. The Hope Lodge Nebraska addresses the need for affordable, supportive lodging by providing 24-hour, temporary housing free of charge to cancer patients and their families traveling 40 or more miles to receive treatment.

The American Cancer Society is working to finish the fight against every cancer in every community. They are the largest private, not-for-profit funder of cancer research in the United States, investing more than $4 billion since 1946. Thanks to the contributions to the American Cancer Society, more than 1.5 million lives have been saved in the U.S. in the past two decades. Because of a budget shortfall this year, the American Cancer Society is at risk of cutting cancer research funding by 50% representing the lowest investment in history. With your support, the American Cancer Society will ensure the positive momentum of lifesaving cancer research is not lost.
