One in three women die each year from heart disease, making it the No. 1 killer of women in the United States. But you can make a difference for women everywhere by attending a Go Red For Women event this fall. Go Red For Women is the American Heart Association’s national movement to end heart disease and stroke in women.
The Lincoln Go Red For Women Expo, chaired by Robyn Devore with BKD, is Oct. 8 at the Pinnacle Bank Arena. Attended by over 500 individuals from Lincoln’s business, medical and social communities, the evening begins with a health expo and an electronic silent auction. The night continues with dinner, keynote address and an inspiring survivor story.
The American Heart Association will also host the annual Norfolk Go Red For Women sponsored by Faith Regional CardioVascular Institute on Sept. 23 at the Divots DeVent Center. The first-ever Kearney Go Red For Women event is Oct. 28 at the Younes Conference Center.
Tables and individual tickets for all three Go Red For Women events are on sale now. To purchase, call (402) 875-7382.
Proceeds from the Go Red For Women events benefit the lifesaving mission of the American Heart Association. In 2014, the American Heart Association funded $2.68 million in research in Nebraska.
