American Heart Association (heart.org) invites you to register for the Go Red for Women® Expo on Thursday, October 28. The event will be held from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at Embassy Suites Omaha-La Vista.
Cardiovascular diseases, including heart disease and stroke, remain the number one killer of women and, in fact, heart disease deaths rose significantly last year. COVID-19 and all the complexities of it remain top of mind. People are experiencing lower physical and emotional wellness, but that doesn’t need to be the end of the story. It’s time to reclaim your rhythm.
Go Red for Women is encouraging all of us to take back control of physical health and mental well-being. The majority of cardiac and stroke events can be prevented, so there’s no better time than now to take action.
Traditionally attended by more than 750 individuals from Omaha’s business, medical, and social communities, the event begins with a health expo and silent auction. The night continues with an inspiring survivor story, showing the significance of the American Heart Association’s dedication to education, research, and prevention.
Leading the charge include Go Red for Women Chair, Melissa Marvin, and Circle of Red Chair, Karen Linder. The event is sponsored locally by Methodist and nationally by CVS Health.
Sponsorship opportunities are available. For sponsorship information, please contact Lindsey Vande Hoef, lindsey.vandehoef@heart.org.
