May was a busy month for Disrupting Traffick. They kicked off the month with a family friendly Putting for a Purpose event at Adventure Golf, bringing the community together to spread awareness about the work that they do to prevent and support survivors of human trafficking in Nebraska.

They have hosted Fashion for Freedom events through Strictly Business Owner, Paige Zutavern, where a garage sale is turned into a boutique like setting and proceeds benefit women served in shelter.

May was also the reintroduction of an agency Vision Tour with Founder and Executive Director, Brooke Carlson. Each month, a tour is offered at their resource center location, 1625 N Street, where the community is invited to tour their space, learn about the current impact Disrupting Traffick is making as well as how our community members can join the movement.

Local luxury brand boutique, STATUS, hosted a Sip and See event at their Haymarket location. The event gave shoppers an opportunity to support Disrupting Traffick through in-kind donations and shop owner, Cassie, gave a percentage back from all sales made that night to Disrupting Traffick.

Other events included the Elite Referral Network’s non-profit games, Give to Lincoln Day through the Lincoln Community Foundation and Kevin’s Monthly Missions.
