Angels Among Us, Scooters Coffee Partner to Provide Free Coffee at Hospital
Angels Among Us (www.myangelsamongus.org) and franchise owners of Scooters Coffee in Children’s Hospital & Medical Center, Kelli and Mark Dudley, are partnering to be sure no in-patient pediatric cancer family pays for their coffee by setting up a charge account. This program, called Caleb’s Coffee, will allow any in-patient cancer family, with a proper hospital badge and special Caleb’s Coffee travel mug, to receive free hot-brewed coffee as often as they please. Angels Among Us will cover all costs on behalf of the family as a small way to provide comfort during their family’s journey.
Caleb’s Coffee was started in memory of Caleb Friesen, a fun-loving, five-year-old boy who was diagnosed with cancer in 2017. He and his family spent many days at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center, and one of the activities he loved the most was going with mom and dad down to the coffee shop to get coffee. Caleb’s Coffee is a way for Angels Among Us and Caleb’s family to provide a cup of comfort during a chaotic and challenging time.
